P R O D U C T S

Sedona Cyber Link is currently developing a three country demonstration project in the textiles sector.  We will be demonstrating how the Fair Trade model works with groups of producers in 3 Southeast Asian countries:  Cambodia, India and Thailand.

We are currently working with Project Good, a joint venture between World of Good and eBay to provide consumers access to the beautiful scarves woven by the producers in these three countries.

We are also working with a filmmaker from the Zaki Gordan Institute with the intent of developing a documentary film on Fair Trade and the textiles sector.

The script for the documentary is grounded in the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the drive by 189 countries on the planet that seek to eliminate extreme poverty by 2025.  The MDGs are as follows:
bullet Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
bullet Achieve universal primary education
bullet Promote gender equality and empower women
bullet Reduce child mortality
bullet Improve material health
bullet Combat HIV/AIDS & malaria
bullet Ensure environmental sustainability
bullet Develop global partnerships

In preparation for the documentary we are seeking to develop global partnerships in accordance with the final goal given above with both private sector commercial firms and NGOs that are interested in building civil society, reducing global poverty and using modern technology to empower and enrich the human experience.  As noted above, we are focusing on how the textiles sector contributes to the economy of select Southeast Asian countries.
