From 1999 to
2001 Ms. Ginn served on the Board of Directors of this 501(c)(3) health services
organization. In September of 2001, shortly after the award of a major
grant from Novartis Pharma, Oncology Division, she became Director of Operations. The
award was given to set up a web-based portal for work with physicians around
the world in dispensing
Glivec
(imatinib mesilate), a treatment therapy for Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). Her
responsibilities included managing the Board of Director relations; office set-up, vendor contract
development, negotiation, execution and oversight; personnel recruiting,
applicant screening, salary and term negotiation, and new employee
initiation; logistical coordination for office facility build-out including
subcontractor management and communications systems specification. She also
managed the external audit by the primary corporate sponsor. |
