Cyber Security Training in Sedona
It’s a Scary World Out There. Protect Yourself!
by: David Keeber, Sedona Chamber of Commerce
We’ve all heard about identity theft and hackers capturing customer information, but did you know that as big companies get more sophisticated in protecting themselves, the bad guys are shifting their attention to small businesses? Protecting your business and your customer information is more crucial now than ever. But, what is the small business owner to do if he or she isn’t a computer whiz?
On Wednesday, September 19 at 11:30 am, join us at the Strategies for Success Training Luncheon when Jane Ginn presents “Cyber Threats – A Real and Present Danger: What You Can Do to Protect Your Business.” This program will make clear how crucial it is for any business doing online banking, who uses a Point of Sale system, or who runs an online business where items are sold through your website to protect themselves, and how to do that. There has been a significant shift by the bad guys to these types of businesses and if you are not protected, you are at risk.
Jane Ginn has over 20 years of international business experience in engineering consulting and information technology. She is currently Managing Director of Sedona Cyber Link. She was a member of the Information Science and Technology faculty of the University of Phoenix for 9 years, and has been a lecturer at Northern Arizona University. Her depth of knowledge on this topic is considerable and she will provide you with the information you need to protect your business.
Register for this crucial training luncheon by calling the Chamber at 204-1123. Reserve your seat and lunch for $15 for members, $20 for non-members, by Tuesday, September 18 at 12:00 pm.
Remember, you may wish that the bad guys go away, but your better off taking proactive steps. This program will get you well started.
